Momo is traditionally prepared as a group, with each person doing their part to gather ingredients, chop vegetables and knead dough, prepare the kitchen, assemble, and cook.

We’ve shaped our family business much the same way, drawing on each other’s strengths and expertise to bring the best momo to the Rocky Mountains.

Rocky Mountain Momo founders Rabee and Prachyut both grew up in Kathmandu, at the crossroads where northern and southern Nepal’s different culinary influences meet. Momo was a central part of everyday life, with friends and family gathering to make momo together, couples meeting up to share a plate of momo and a lassi, and children buying snacks and momo from neighborhood food carts after school.

Founded first as a frozen handmade momo business, Rocky Mountain Momo opened in 2024. Our menu and business ethos are built around memories, experiences, and family recipes straight from the heart of Nepal.
